The activity in the water at Low Isles was terrific. If the batfish could walk out of the water, I'm sure that they would have. The reef sharks didn't stop us from getting in and seeing what was under the water. This was our best location so far for snorkeling. Low Isles is very close to Port Douglas so definitely worth a trip if you go to Port Douglas, even if the weather is wet and cold. I couldn't get enough of those fish, and they couldn't ge...

We have been lucky to have access to fresh fruit and vegetable every couple of weeks, but it's going to get harder as we go further north. We haven't had to use powdered eggs yet but we have been looking out for where to buy them. Any tips would be appreciated. Check out our travel...

Sailing past Lucinda Jetty, it's the longest service jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. At 5.76 kilometers long, the jetty is nothing short of an engineering masterpiece with its length following the curved contour of the earth. Sugar takes 22 minutes to travel along the conveyor from the on-shore storage to the ship loader. Jurrasic like World Heritage listed Hinchinbrook Island is entirely uninhabited, only 40 adventurers are allowed on at any o...
